At the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 14th Annual Volunteer Leadership Conference, significantly more people were able to tune into the conference by utilizing live streaming technology, including those living with CF. Attendance was up from previous years by almost 50 percent, with over 500 virtual attendees joining more than 650 physical attendees. The live streaming technology enabled more people who care about finding a cure for CF to unite, share stories, and celebrate ongoing medical progress being made by the Foundation.
Through the use of Conferences I/O audience response system and the Digitell live streaming media player, both the physical and virtual attendees were able to participate in the Q & A portion and ask questions of the presenters in real time.
Utilizing Zoom, Digitell was able to integrate multiple video panels into the live streaming player to showcase four remote presentations from families living with CF who are located in different parts of the country.
Each family shared their unique experience in the fight against CF. Panelists included those with the disease, as well as their loved ones. The use of streaming technology was instrumental in helping these families tell their stories in a personal way to a broader audience than in past years. The session shed a lot of light on what life is like with CF and made a very positive impact on conference attendees, both physical and virtual.Watch Presentation
