Digitell has signed an agreement with the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) to capture their educational sessions and live stream their meeting to a virtual audience. AAOHN’s conference is being held April 11-14, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency in Jacksonville, FL.
AAOHN has contracted with Digitell to capture all educational sessions and provide, to all registered attendees, free access to the recordings of the sessions, as part of their commitment to better educate their community. All recordings will include the presenters laptop presentation synchronized with the audio resulting in an exact archive of the talk that was given in the room. Having access to the session’s post-conference is a great educational and training tool for those that attended and for those that did not, all sessions will be available for purchase after the conference.
For the first time, AAOHN will also be offering live online access to the conference sessions via Digitell’s robust live streaming platform. All live streamed sessions will be available for CE credits through Digitell’s integrated accreditation and evaluations system. In addition to obtaining CE’s, Digitell’s live streaming player allows virtual attendees to network with other virtual attendees, ask questions directly to the presenter, participate in polling, take notes and monitor the live Twitter feed. Virtual attendees will have access to a continuous stream of sessions for the duration of the event and those sessions not live streamed will be available to them, as an archive recording, for no additional charge.
“AAOHN continuously looks for opportunities to serve our members better,” says AAOHN Executive Director Kay Campbell, EdD. “We know that it is often difficult to get away from work to attend meetings, as about 22 percent of our members attend the face-to-face national conference. We are excited to work with Digitell to bring the excellent education offered at the conference to everyone.”
“Our 2016 conference theme is ‘Leading the Future: Endless Possibilities in Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing’,” says AAOHN President Jeannie Tomlinson, MSN, RN, COHN-S, FAAOHN. “Offering our members and guests the option and flexibility to participate via streaming video goes hand in hand with our objective to explore current and cutting-edge best practices and the latest technology and resources to improve the management of your occupational and environmental health and safety practice.”
“We are delighted to be working with AAOHN”, says Steve Parker, VP of Digitell. “They are forward thinkers, open to trying new things and are not only positioning their Association to educate their entire community, but, learning how to leverage their content which will have positive, ripple effects throughout the Association. This is exactly what every Association should be doing,” adds Parker.
Digitell has been servicing Associations for over 30 years and has a handle on the specific needs of Associations, especially in the medical field. AAOHN is the latest nursing Association to join a long list of Associations who have chosen Digitell as their content capture and live stream partner.
